Intro file issue (continued issue with the SHOUTcast player)

Well ... Since I wasn't able to convince Nullsoft that they need to fix the flash player because it screws up the servers... I have figured out a way to keep people from using it on my site.

It was very simple... all I had to do is make an intro file stating that in one week I will no longer be broadcasting on SHOUTcast because their player is messed up and even though nullsoft knows about the problem they don't care and will not do anything about it.

Since the player is screwed up this intro file repeats every 10 minutes... interrupting the music... its very annoying ... so I just added that if they want to stop hearing the message every 10 minutes all they have to do is stop using the fubar SHOUTcast player

Maybe I will stay on SHOUTcast and just change the intro file to say .... if you don't want to here this message every 10 minutes write nullsoft with your complaints then use a non web based player.

So far my logs have shown people will only stay connected with the SHOUTcast player for about 20 minutes (two 602 second reconnects) then they switch to itunes NSPlayer Bass... and others ... funny ... rarely do they go to Winamp ... maybe the figure because Nullsoft screwed up SHOUTcast they probably screwed up Winamp too.

No real question here ... I just wanted to pass this information on for anyone else that is having problems with the SHOUTcast player because asking for a solution here will get you nowhere as I have found out.
