Audio Libraries ... yes, plural
I use Winamp Pro, and would not change for any other main player ... I usually like play my music on shuffle ... the whole library; therefore, what I would like to see in Winamp is multiple libraries. This may seem crazy but I have a large number of audio books, Classical music, and modern music and quite a bit of Jazz. What happens is that I can be enjoying my music around the house and all of a sudden an audio book starts.
I am considering downloading other media players, to play the different libraries, but as an AVID fan of Winamp ... I am not happy to use other media players This not in any way a criticism of Winamp ... I am just adding this to my Christmas wish list. I am not aware of any other player that does this, but it is still a wish ![]() |

You can create more categories for the Local Media view of the Media Library, almost like have more libraries within the ML. Categories can be based on genre (or other tags/data), example…
![]() Right click on Local Media > select 'Add smart view' > in the 'Choose a Preset:' dropdown menu there are already Classical Music and Rock Music genre presets. By looking at the two different genre presets, you cab start to see how to create you own presets for other genres. If your collection is in different folders/directories, you can also create presets based on the folder location. See this for a example. |
