An easier way/controls to broadcast over a mic?
Right now im going live on my mic by
#1 Opening up my shoutcast source going into input. #2 I watch the time of my song on my winamp player and when it ends I hit pause on my winamp. #3 Then I go back to the source imput hitting soundcard imput. #4 when im done talking I put it back to Winamp recomended mode. #5 Then go back to my winamp player and hit play. Seems like their has to be an easier way? Im new to this whole deal and not a pro by any means but I figured that out! LOL Any way easier or a plug in? Thanks in advance |

Use butt. It stays on what-U-Hear, and works with Windows Vista/7.
Then just control the mic volume via the onboard soundcard. This way you can fade in your mic. http://www.youtube.com/user/BrutishSail0r I follow Dave St. John's swag, Like this if my videos help: http://www.facebook.com/casterhub |

Did you ever get a chance to use that Live Wire Plug In download? BogProg LiveWire 1.0 - Automatic mix in of another audio source that you guys were talking about? If so how did it work for you? Or are you still using the Butt Plug in? Wait thats sounds too funny now! LOL Thanks |

Butt isnt a plug in, Butt is its own entity. (I love saying that)
SC_Trans is killing me, not the server... It works, but the Livewire is pretty awesome as well. Im still experimenting with it, its got a few disadvantages, and a few nicks on Butt's bedpost. But i like them both, I just have been working myself on it more, because I use Icecast, and it was designed for Icecast/linux platforms. So of course I had to work on it a little. SC has a lot of apps that one up Icecast third party developments, when I see an icecast third party development thats effective, its a miracle and a holiday that should be observed. The next 6 months are really going to split the streaming servers WAY far. While AOL plans the release of SC2, KarlH has been hinting on the Icecast2 forums about his activities with .flv wraping in the next Icecast release. http://icecast.imux.net/viewtopic.php?t=6974 I cant wait to see the epic clash of the titans next round of server releases. SHOUTcast has always been awesome because of its ease of use, but if Karl Heyes launches his usual "HTF is he doing that?" special touch on Icecast next trunk, EPIC battle! http://www.youtube.com/user/BrutishSail0r I follow Dave St. John's swag, Like this if my videos help: http://www.facebook.com/casterhub |
