DirectX file missing/Winamp 5.58/windows 7
Hi all,
I recently installed windows 7 on my dell inspiron (Core 2; 3 GB RAM). I downloaded and tried to install the latest winamp 5.58. However, before the winamp setup could complete, I received an error message saying a direct x file was missing and re-directed me to the Microsoft website to upgrade to the latest d/x. I currently am using D/x 11, which presently IS the latest version! Please view attachments for screenshots. HELP!! |

It's probably just one of d3dx9_31.dll (required by Milkdrop) or d3dx9_42.dll (required by fullscreen video OSD) that's missing.
