Live broadcast overriding a playlist (sc_serv + sc_trans fun)

can i broadcast a playlist with sc_trans and interrupt it with a live broadcast, right? Can I do it with DNAS v2 or can i do with through sc_trans?

Would probably be best to do that through sc_tran's dj port. Then when the live session is done and the connection to the dj port is closed the playlist in sc_trans will continue where it left off.

So sc_tran's dj port (let say i set it to 8015) will let me stream live content if I selected 8015 as my stream port and i'll let me transmit with it? :O

You would connect to the dj port with the SHOUTcast DSP as if you were connecting to a DNAS server.

Hey neoncoyote,
Can you please keep the sc_serv related stuff over in the sc_serv thread.
It helps alot, keeping problems on topic.

There is no default index page access like this..

if you have no username setup in the dnas config you can leave the
the default dsp plugin settings "username" in place

Alright, I'm getting nowhere with this. So I entered "username" in place of User ID and my password. I entered the correct domain and port number and no dice. I get the authentication error.

Just a heads up, if I were to use sc_trans with sc_serv, i would need to specify the user ID too, right? could someone tell me what the string is for that if there is one?

I'll try to patch trhough sc_trans under a live DJ and see if I can broadcast that way.

Your problem could be related to the connection error bug above.
Sometimes in sc2 mode it gives the auth error when an unknown error
has occurred.
wait for the update

alrighty. so... i'll see if i can get sc_trans to work with sc_serv ver2. There should be some documentation about this username stuff. this is all very useful, though.
