i'm assuming you're including cardboard in "paper packaging"?

and.... how else would they come packaged? encased in gold? Fabergé Egg?

I hate everyone, so you don't have to.

In actual good ole' U.S. of America if/when I go to a convenience store to get smokes, I'll ask for a "pack of Marlboro reds, hard-pack." There are soft-packs and hard-packs with 20 "Class A" death sticks in both pack styles. With the hard-packs you will generally get a thin type cardboard or sturdy paper box with a flip-top lid and an inner freshness (ha!) liner. I've never had a problem with the hard-packs in my blue jeans front pockets or tucked in short-sleeve shirt sleeve.

Sounds to me like you've had the unfortunate experience of not being careful with a soft-pack style pack o' smokes.

I used to love Canadian cigs.

Du Maurier were my favorites. Fuck, those things knocked me on my ass every time.

similar to cloves? i guess

fwiw, i won't give up camels anytime soon, but the only style of camels i get a good drag off of is a wide, it's the holes in the filter paper, even the full flavor kings have some, wides are the only ones that don't.
