Importing CDs into Winamp

Hi. I just started using Winamp on my new computer and like the program. I'm having trouble figuring out how to import a CD into Winamp. I've tried clicking on File ---> "Add Media to Library" ---> Computer ---> DVD RW Drive ---> Add, but nothing happens, other than the CD starts playing. It seems like I'm missing something; surely this is possible with Winamp. In the past, I've used iTunes and with that program, it was simply a click of a button to import a CD. (I think "import" is the correct word for this? - I'm a bit of a novice with computers). I'd appreciate any guidance on this.

"Import CD" is iTunes word for ripping a CD. In other words, extracting the files from the CD and placing them on the hard drive. You can rip CD's with Winamp.

Thanks!

Hi JonnyMac. Thanks for your help - I didn't realize that this was called ripping. I figured it was a pretty simple solution.

Peace, Christopher
