Winamp crashes directly after start

Hey together,

since today I have a problem. When I start Winamp, I get a message, that it doesn't work anymore (Win7 x64) and will be closed. I tries to re-install and restart, but both didn't help... 2 days ago, I used it the last time w/o problems. No updates have been done since then...

I don't know what to do. I have the pro version 6.01 and do not use any plugins other then the ones installed with Winamp.

run the standalone version from http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....161361#plugins and attach / post back the file which is created as it will give an idea of what is in your Winamp install and might give an idea of what is causing the crash.

also i'm hoping "pro version 6.01" is a typo as there is no 6.01 version (current version available is v5.61).

also silly thought, if it's crashing on loading, you don't by chance happen to have been using v2.2.0 of the SHOUTcast Source plug-in?

Thanks for your input. The version is a typo, yes. I use the latest version of Winamp.
Here are the files created:

that shows you've got 5.601 installed which isn't the current version. 5.61 is the current so try installing it from the link from http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=328446

though from looking at what is there, nothing is jumping out as being different from a standard install. so if the 5.61 install doesn't work then you'll probably need to look at doing a complete clean re-install as per http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....d=161361#clean (following it fully).

It works! I just installed the actual version and it's running fine. I'm very sorry for the trouble I did, not being able to identify the right version... So, thanks a lot!!!
