Error code 8878000A help please

I'm getting really desperate...when I came back from home one day the light on the computer was on but it wasn't running. Then I unplugged and replugged it and restarted the computer and when it started running again there was no sound whatsoever. So im not really good with computer so can you guys please help me because I tried fixing this problem myself, but i think i made it worse...i'm not sure and now I give up and need some major help. Whenever i try to play something on winamp it always shows this msg "Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration. Error code: 8878000A." Any help will be greatly appreciated.http://www.google.com
