Volume level adjustment on MP3 files and iPods

Hello,

I'm trying to normalise my MP3s for usage on my iPod Classic. I only recently moved to Winamp from iTunes and with the latter there is an option to enhance the volume of an MP3 with a slider. I have tried the inbuilt Replay Gain but it does not normalise to the decibels I want. Is there any way to get it to normalise to the dB I want?
