it depends on what you are using as the DJ source since a v2 source (e.g. Winamp + Source DSP in v2 mode) will connect directly on djport2, whereas as a v1 source will connect on djport+1 so you'd need to have port 5501 open (it's an annoying quirk of how v1 sources were implemented which is noted in the docs -> http://wiki.winamp.com/wiki/SHOUTcas...r_2#DJ_Support)

what version of the Transcoder are you using as that looks like its prior to build 51 (the currently supported version).
the usual cause of that error appearing is due to too much data coming from the source and it not being processed and passed onto the DNAS fast enough - DJ connections require a lot more work to be done on them (than it possibly should at times). -daz |

it could be anything from too much latency from the DJ connection, to a bug in the Transcoder, to not having enough resources to keep up with the processing (has been known if running in a VPS / virtual machine).
there should be something in the logs. you did mention earlier that it's not an issue if there is a playlist running, maybe you could use a small 1second silent mp3 in a playlist to see if that makes a difference or not. i can look into running the Transcoder without a playlist specified though i've got a number of other things to work on before i can do that. -daz |
