New Official Skin

I don't know how long it's been since the "Big Bento" - the "Bento" is just too thamn small, like too many others available for download - skin has arrived, but as a Winamp user for lots of years, I'm tired of it (as I'm tired of the Classic skin - the 90's are a long way back), although it's the best one in my opinion...

So my question is: Doesn't Winamp have 1 designer that can work with a computer coder, that can create a new, more appealing, updated, clean skin? (hell, tell me how - I can't bother to search) and if I have the tools (I have a few professional image editing/creation software), I'll create the best one you've seen)).

Apple has got the point many years ago, especially with mobile devices...: Clean design, innovation and intuitive functionality! - amongst other things, already acheived by Winamp, except for the design (in my opinion)...

So basically this is my opinion: Drop the "Bento" skin and just make a new one!

They basically only release a new base skin along with a major revision of the software. One would imagine that there'll be a Winamp 6.0 someday and that it'll have a new default skin.

But I mean if you want to make a skin just go for it. There are tutorials and stuff available, and a massive database of user-submitted skins to look at for reference. You'll want to head over to Modern Skins if you want to play with the layout, the Classics Skins are just zips full of bitmaps that change the art for the little rectangular Winamp Classic skin.

I would personally LOVE to make a modern skin that is more like a HD classic but my coding skills are at a all time low. Maybe some day...
