you're trying to install something that has no knowledge of UAC features on Vista / Windows 7 and newer. other than running the installer as an admin, it's not going to install into the Winamp plug-ins folder correctly. and really, you shouldn't even try to install that plug-in as it's basically not going to work even when you get it installed.

Have you tried google? I agree, trying to use a plugin this old is asking for trouble on many fronts. I wasn't aware people still bothered with IRC.

it's called the wishlist sub-forum. posting in there NEVER guarantees your request being considered or ever implemented. and if you're going to post a new thread asking for an irc client in Winamp then don't, you've already done it in this thread and it's not going to be done officially, i can say that for certain.
