Am I the only one getting pissed off with people thinking up really cheap ways of getting loads of replys to their messages?

It only really happens in the General forum.

It all started with the LAME ADS. Which was a really good idea, which deserved to be one of the most successful posts ever. Then 20 others saw how many replies it got and thought "I wonder if I can make a post like that"

And so posts simalar to "Tell us your name everyone!" and "How old are you?" were born. And I'm sick of 'em. Can't we ban 'em?

My most hated, honestly, is the "what mp3 are you listening to........."
I've skipped it ever since it hit a ridiculous 3 pages!

No, I didn't miss the point. The thing is, some people (presenet self included) are just starving for attention in a cold, uncaring world. But others really do care what other people's thought are. We want to know you better, is the basic fact of the matter.

I wonder if some of those threads are started in the hopes of people ridding themselves of that dreaded "Junior Member" status. I've seen a lot of meaningless posts where they flat out tell you that's what they're trying to do. Not that any of my posts have that much meaning to them, but it just makes me wonder.....

I can count the number of threads that I've started on one hand. Only one of them has made two pages. I have posted lots of useless crap on these forums, but I've also helped people out. This reply is useless, too. If you want more uselessness, go here.
