one server, multiple streams with different playlists

Hello,

i have a problem, which a want to solve the best way.. i have a radio website and an own dedicated server.. First of all, i have read that i shouldn't make the station run as root.. can i ask which disadvantages this would have? And to my topic. i have a website where i want to make my visitors to listen to my streams encoded via sc_trans. But the point is that i want to make it possible to choose between different genres and music styles.. In the first stage i want to make 7 different music styles. But the problem is i want all 7 streams to play different playlists.. per example

1. Black Music -> black.lst
2. electro -> electro.lst
3. house -> house.lst
4. jazz -> jazz.lst

and so on..

now i have set up 7 different servers but i think that this is not the best solution.. When i'm thinking of my memory 0.0 .. i have read that there is a possibility to make multiple streams via 1 server.. but when i understand it rightly, it isn't possible to stream different media on one stream.. Is this right? Is this feature just for same media on different streams? What's the best solution to solve my Problem? Can Someone help me? Thank you for your support

you need to change the permissions on the file(s) to be accessible to the account. you'd need to consult the relevant help for the distro you're using.
