Winamp n SHOUTcast compatibility

Oh, I need help. I've been looking into streaming but I'm confused. It seems that the radio station who I'm helping have a dedicated server outside and they sent an audio stream to this server.

Versions:
SHOUTcast DNAS 1.9.8 (outside)
Winamp 5.6
SHOUTcast DSP 2.3.2
OS: Windows XP

After upgrading Winamp and DSP plugin to latest versions (had bugs that shut the service down) I can't get connected to a server anymore. I have a notification saying 'unable to connect to server. try enabling...'. I've tried enabling it but still no luck and I can't find any information if DNAS 1.9.8 is compatible with latest Winamp and DSP or not. If it doesn't support the upgrade then does downgrade Winamp and DSP (easier to get it work quick) help me? What are the latest compatible versions?

The dedicated server is actually run by an other mob and if I want to make changes in the server then instead of organizing changes there I have to register a new dedicated server somewhere.
