Friends,

I just installed 2.71 and noticed under "process priority class" (in preferences) that HIGH and REALTIME are not recommended. I hadn't noticed that comment before and I wonder why they're not recommend? I occasionally have a problem where mp3 playback is interrupted when the hard disk is being accessed and I'd like to eliminate that, or at least minimize it. Is increasing thread priority the way to accomplish this? Thoughts?

Process Priority Class - Adjusts the Priority Class of Winamp when a track is playing. The priority class is set to Normal by default and should be left their unless you find files are skipping because of other processes on your machine taking precedence. If so then you can move this notch up some for potentially better results.
