sound problem

This is probably some stupid problem and probably has nothing to do with winamp, but every time that I play songs from my playlist the sound gets turned down in between songs. It doesn't matter if it is on shuffle or repeat or anything. I have looked all over my computer and all over winamp and I can't fix it. The wave volume gets turned down between each song, I turn it up and it is fine when I turn it back up, but it is a pain in the but to say the least. Any help would be appreciated.
