What soundcard is it? It's easy to think your sound card is 32-bit because it cost alot of munny. If you actually are dead sure it's 32-bit cuz you know your shit really well, this isn't meant for you.

It shouldn't work for anyone who doesn't know if it should work . 99% of the sound cards you see in stores can only handle 16-bit output (SBLive, MX300, *). The cards that can handle 24-bit and 32-bit output are usually targeted towards people who do recording and the like.

MAD does work. I don't think you have a 24bit or above soundcard. For that msg to appear it means that you do not have a 24bit or above soundcard. We've people with 24bit soundcard using MAD & it's fine. According to those lucky people, mp3 sounds better. A LOT better.

Mad's Decoder still sounds better than Nullsoft's decoder at 16 bit the only reason why i said "i thought it was useless" because i wanted to get more responses on why i cant get 24 bit to work. I guess i don't have a 32 bit card. i have a diamond monster sound mx400 that said that it supported up to 32 bit sound. well the sound card sucks anyway. so I ordered a SBLive. Well I don't recommend Diamond sound cards to anyone. especially if you have win2k it's not compatible, I have win2k, but windows update has the drivers but i still don't get any of the two features it has . well can anyone with a SBLive tell me if 24 or 32 bit audio works with them. Thanks

It often helps to read before you post.
