"The foobar2000" can Handle UTF-8 or other TextIncorded CUEsheet. i hope, where and anyone can help me. Create it,and develop it! i hope winamp can have built-in the "CUE Player" or CUEsheet, like "The foobar2000"! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

no one wanted to fund development for native cue playback support in 2010 so it being added natively is not deemed a high priority as not enough people clearly want the feature.
the 3rd party plug-in is unsupported and there's been no sign of the plug-in author for a few years. you can try to contact them to get an update for the plug-in but i doubt you'll manage to get a response let alone an update. |

i am not saying that CUE support is not important!! i'm saying that when there was the option to have it implemented, no one wanted to cough up the money to allow for a developer (me) at the time to give up a few weeks to work solely on getting the feature implemented. so due to that, then most users either don't care or just don't want it enough (and all i was looking for was ~£250 which was based on the number of users who'd requested it in the 3 years previously on the forums providing ~£5 each - not a lot at all for almost a months work as i'd estimated it to be!).
i would love to see CUE support in Winamp (hence why i'd started on something towards it in 2007 and offered to do it for a small financial sum back in 2010) but it's a lot of work to update Winamp to do it properly and based on what i've previously experienced from being a 3rd party developer and a 1st party developer, some people want it but when it comes to funding the development of the feature, people don't want to know and coding anything costs $$$ (which a lot of people fail to remember). and CUE support is not just useful for lossless formats, it has benefit for lossy MP3 rips, etc. if there was the time (which there isn't) and resources (which there also isn't) then it could be done, but other things are already being developed for the player and they take priority over an extensive update to be able to add CUE support at the moment. |

We like it, just hope it toward those aspects to development, otherwise we go to use foobar2000 player.
Fundamentally,is it that, you think “the Lossless Audio Codec technology is not important”? HTML Code:

clearly what I'm saying is not being understood. I'm not equating CUE support to a specific file format since it is beneficial for lossy and lossless - it is purely a lack of time and resources which is why its not going to be implemented any time soon (not for a lack of some of us wanting it nd whatever you say about other players is not going to help get it done any sooner).
and that thread links to another CUE plug-in which also should still work but like the thread mentions its down to the plug-in author to maintain updates. and I know the best way is for it to be native or done as a plug-in with key changes made so it can be done in a more native way without the weird hacks some of the plug-ins have done things which causes them to break. either way there's little else that can really be said about getting this added other than to shift it to the wishlist forum and let it fester there. |

I use "CUE Player" with Undo Playlist Undo v1.11(http://winampplugins.co.uk/plu.html),
this Playlist_Undo_plug-in sometime may automatic delete the .CUE file; When I uninstall it,there's no problem. |

then don't use my plug-in if it causes you problems. and I assume you mean it deletes the playlist entry and not the actual cue file ? as that plug-in doesn't have the means to delete files from the playlist (and most likely it's down to the cue plug-in not doing things in an expected manner).

well there is no code in my plug-in to do that. so if it is happening as you say, maybe it's a combination of all of the plug-ins somehow triggering Winamp's own ability to remove files (which should end up in the recycle bin by default) or is even a bug in the cue player plug-in itself.
either way, as my plug-in is essentially not being updated now and the cue player plug-in is dead (no sign of the author for years), there's pretty much no chance of seeing this fixed even if I was able to determine if it's my plug-in or the 3rd party plug-in or Winamp at fault. |

it doesn't want to change the playlist unless it is told to do so with an 'undo' action. as it just tracks what changes are made and knowing how hacky the cue plug-in was, it wouldn't surprise me if it's doing things that are causing everything else (Winamp included) to mis-behave and that's why you're having issues with that combination. and once again, the undo plug-in doesn't have the means to delete actual files in the manner you're describing (but you don't want to believe me and I think this has just helped to make a decision for me...).

it (and everything else) are most likely just going to be left to bit-rot now. I've not touched any of them in what a year and a half and I've not had the time / interest to work on Winamp plug-ins so I think that speaks for itself.

I understand and that is basically what you said in the 29 October 2014 update on your website (http://winampplugins.co.uk/index.html). At least some of your plug-ins are still available (for now) on your site. If the time / interest comes back, that will be great. If not, well that's life.
What I use now are working well for me and I'm content to wait for what the future will bring. Live long and prosper, DrO. ![]() Windows 10 Home 64-bit v21H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system |
