I finished this about a week ago, I don't know how to use the html features of this forum yet. So I can't post a screencap. This is my first post in the forums. I have been reading alot of the posts though and find it quite amusing and helpful. I have gotten alot of info from the skin help forum and appreciate all the people who help others.
I would like to see a forum or static thread just for people to link their new skins in. I love looking at others work and their scattered all over the forum.
Before I post the link to my skin, I have one question.
Can someone tell me how to get the easter egg titlebar going. I read something somewhere about typing some in. But could'nt find where to do it.Its the only part of my skin that I could'nt make sure that it was lined up properly.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry about that.

I guess I should have previewed the post and made sure the link was working. I guess that sneak in method doesn't always work. Anyway I did upload the zip file to my geosite, heres another link to another download page.

Regarding your easter egg question, if you open up the "titlebar.bmp" image, you will see a gap under the top 4 title bars, its these two gaps that form the easter egg, the correct sequence of bars from top to bottom should be

Main title active
Main title dimmed
Winshade mode active
Winshade mode dimmed
Easter egg active
Easter egg dimmed
Here's what it looks like on the base skin.

Simply add another two bars into the gap, giving you a total of 6 bars, its the two bars at the bottom that say "it really whips the llamas ass"

Thanks Mr Jones, But what I need to know is how to change winamp while it's running to display the easter egg titlebar.
Lynx thanks for your comment.

Ohhhhhhhhhh I see LOL, I really should wake up more when I'm reading the forums, mmmm ok get the easter egg going by making sure your main winamp window is active, then type the following on the keyboard
N U L L S O F T

after each "L" press the escape key, so it's
N U L (esc) L (esc) S O F T

That should do it for you.

Thanks Mr J, Thats what I needed and just as I suspected they are out of alignment. I noticed that alot of people don't add easter egg titlebars. Over 3/4 of the five star skins I have don't have them or they're just plain and the same. I thought it was cool to be able to do something trick like putting a hidden message in there.
I would like to post a screen cap in here. I read in one of the other forums that you use [] instead of <>. Is that correct. The tags are the same. Just the brackets are different.
Just some notes about this skin.

It's Yellow.
Everything is skinned.
Has custom cursors. (Nothing Fancy)(1 animated)
I made it to be able change the color easily. And have a purple version almost done.
Has big buttons. (A response to my dislike for hunting for buttons)
I made it in 16 bit indexed mode for smaller download time and so that it would look alright on a friends antique computer. Most of the bmps are 118 indexed colors. It still looks good though and I think I accomplished my mission of creating a skin that is small in file size, can be used on older machines with no good graphics card, and has nice buttons for ease of use. I would like to see it get some high marks. I don't think it's a five star skin, but a 4 at least.

Thanks all and please send me some feed back. Any tips or suggestions would be helpful. Anybody think I can somehow turn this into a five star skin LOL

pixelpusher;

When you post a message, at the top of the screen under the big "Winamp Forums" message are a few lines of semi-helpful text.

One of them says Posts and lists what protocols are turned on. The vBcode is hyper-linked to a very useful page covering the tags this forum uses.

Looks like you're mostly there all ready, but that might help.

About Yell XtrEme: haven't look at in detail yet, but at first glance it's quite pleasing. There's a lot of skins out there with this look, but something about yours is has a better graphic flow. Hmmm. I'll have to think about this some more and see if I can't quantify my thoughts better.

Lunatic fringe, we know you're out there.

Yeah, I just don't think sometimes. I clicked on that vb thingy and learned how to post an image. Thanks for the help though.
Thanks for taking a look at the skin. The more I look at it, the more it seems I see pixels out of place and how it could look better. But I think it has good flow as you said. I actually wanted it to look like plastic. I got the thought from looking at a suv called the Xtera. (I think thats how it's spelled) Anyway I think I like the purple one i'm making better then this one.
I actually got obsessed with making this thing and finished it in about 10 hours with Photoshop 5.0
Funny about these creative things. Now i've got three of they in the works at the same time. LOL
