Yes, yes, yes! Winamp definately needs a record button. How very useful it would be to record from the CD-rom to mp3 or whatever without using a separate program.

You can do it now using plugins -

CD reader -
http://www.url*****~copah/CDReader.htm

MP3 output plugin -
http://www.winamp.com/customize/deta...omponentId=177

But you're better with something like CDex to rip cd tracks to mp3.

Winamp is supposed to be an audio player.

Ok people have none of you heard of musicmatch it rips from cds and if you have a cd writer it can make cds from mp3's
and it can play mp3's but winamp is better for that part.

I'll second and third...

I'll second and third the wish for keeping winamp a hi-fi audio PLAYER and keep off all bloats..
agree with Matt.
anyone who wants extra features should go for extra plugins, or simply other programs, all available for free..
but please keep our slick winamp alone.

The plugs matt mentioned are almost the exact opposite of bloat. CD reader is better anyways, and the output plug is very efficent, though I use the one at http://pp666.cjb.net/ no offense, justin. but streamling this for winamp 3 into a record button would be nice

guess who just figured out vB code

Actually, we just paid a bunch of money for WinDAC32, so I think we'll use that.
