Could you move the specification of the CDDB server address to the Winamp.ini file ? The connection to cddb.cddb.com:8880 does not seem to work behind corporate firewalls. However, port 80 does, as I can see from using the CDex (Freeware) tool. Ideally, I would like to see it customizable from the setup screen where the proxy specification is entered- but I'd be happy to be able to change it myself with a text editor.

Or, could someone provide a patch program for changing the "8880" specification in WinAmp.exe to "80 "?

Thanks.

Use the Cd-Reader plug-in. It lets you specify the address of the CDDB server you want to use
