slow mp3!!

i have a big problem...all mp3 players play mp3z slowly like a casette recorder which is running short of battery power,,, i was only able to come over it by changing the settings of winamp from 128 to 64(half quality), but on the expense of quality...other mp3 players did not work at all...all of them played slowly,,,what is wrong?

can you provide us with any system information? this might help.
