Oh oh okay. You want Internet Radio sans SHOUTcast.

If you can find an Internet Radio station's web page, right click in WA and select Play -> Location and type in the server name. Playing Windows Media stations appears to be impossible because Microsoft is a bunch of buggers.

However, you could just get a cable modem and SHOUTcast will work perfectly.

No what I mean is Winamp does not support asx files. Even once you get the url to the asf file, it says cannot resolve the mms stream.

Thats the problem. Winamp does not support mms streamds

Anyway if you are so keen on insulting Microsoft, think how come Sun hasnt come up with a media player yet

Well if you want WA to support MMS Streaming, go post it on the Winamp Wishlist. True, Sun has not come up with a media player, but would anyone really consider Solaris a "major player" in the OS market? No-one cares about Sun. That's why even though they are an evil corporation that creates their own proprietary formats, MS is porting WMP to Linux.

Who Said mms was audio only windowsmedia.com links to vidnet 28k maybe a little too small and fewer frames but those on hi speed a plugin would be good but until then wmp7 will have to do earlier versions dont work with mms://127.0.0.1 or other url here/files/*.asx asf files wont let you save them and they dont have a [http://ftp]back door either you cant watch offline if you click the saved ask auto dial responds if you 'ave it set for ie.
