Get one of these Mclaren's. Starts at $850,000, tops a million with registration.

tonka, lolmao, yeah the h2 sucks. i wanted to go to the detroit auto show but didnt make it, maybee some other year - last year i went to an auto show at the IX center in cleveland, i probly will this year if they have one
(hell if i know whats going on in the future) what dcx needs to do is take the jeep commander concept vehicle and do what they did from the past (all former jeep trucks were "chopped" cherokees & wagoneers) and make a truck from that design, but they dont want jeep competing with dodge (then why the hell does dodge & mercades make suv's) |

Ahh... Tonkas... too bad I kept getting Nylint's for Christmas. Reminds me of this little book, the Little Cement Mixer, like a bad knock off of the Little Tugboat that Could... people thought I was weird because I had Nylints and they had Tonkas. :sigh:
Anyway... back on topic... here are my current choices for cars: 1993-1997 Chevy Camaro Z28 1999-2001 Ford Mustang GT 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 1996 Chevy Impala SS 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo SS 2001 Dodge Stratus Coupe 2001 Toyota Celica GT-S 2000 Honda Accord V6 Sedan I don't wanna go import, but it's a last resort. What do you guys think? |

Insert Pontiac Firebird between Chevy Camaro and Ford Mustang...
As a matter of fact, scratch the Mustang off the list completely.

2001 Firebird w/Ram-Air... yum
![]() At least they didn't bastardize the front like they did on the Camaro. And I remember a while back that they were thinking of doing away with the Camaro/Firebird model. Wonder what's gonna happen with that. |

I'd recomend a short wheel base LandRover D90 with a TD5. Slap on some decent wheels, and spend a while tuning. Or, if you don't care about off-road performance, get a 110, rip out the middle row of seats and bung in a rack of 6 or 8 subs. Sweet!

That's my truck!Just a couple differences, though. I have 15" 5-spoke wheels with 235[60]R15s, it's onyx black, and I don't have a rear anti-roll bar in it. They added the new wheels and rear anti-roll bar after '95..... Other than that, it's the same. I luvz my truck.

i keep confusing the range rover and land rover, all i know is one of them is made by ford.
get a 67' chevelle or a 72' challenger or a 72' el camino (late 60's and early 70's, why cant all cars be made like that - not a 2 door 21 inch wheelbase jap thing with donut tires and a 1.3 liter 0.5 horse engine) |

It's this great invention called a paint program. Goto "Edit" > "Select All" then click on the bottom right corner and make it smaller. Sorry if I sound mean, read/watch my sig!

Hmm, I actually was looking at most of the cars on your list.. I compared the 2001 Monte Carlo SS, 2001 Chevy Impala LS, '96 Impala SS, Pontiac Firebird T/A w/RAM-Air, and the Celica GTS. What I want to know is why you left out the '01 Impala LS? This is the car I think I will be getting soon. It seems to offer the most power and style and also features vs. the other cars at a good price. Yes the '96 has the supercharger, but at around the same price with 50K miles on it, wouldn't you rather have the brand new car? It is not a huge difference in cost. Let me know what you think... all of ya

Dave-
I'd go with anything that you compared except the Toyota... Of course, you know why.

The Celica's a last resort thing. I'm probably not going to go for it.
I like the older Impala. The new ones look really gross. Headlights, just the whole look. I hate it. |

Oic, yeah... I actually dismissed the Toyota really quickly. Although it is light weight, it is a piece of junk. I like the older Impala's better myself as well, but don't feel so strongly against the newer ones. I actually kind of like it
The Montecarlo just didn't seem to offer as much, but I have not ruled it out yet. The TA would kill on insurance and to fully load it, would cost almost 6K more. Thanks for the input though, if it was just looks that kept it off the list asides from some serious defect you know of, than i am a bit safe :-)

My rundown... (pros and cons):
- Camaros and Firebirds, power and looks to kill. It's the visibility that doesn't do anything for me. Nice cars, but a pain in the ass to back up. Insurance is huge on those things too. Two of my cousins (brothers) have an '89 and '93 IROCs though. - Monte Carlo, I was considering the last generation Monte Carlo, but handling sucked and it looked way too much like a Lumina. The Monte Carlo's not too shabby, though the SS looks far better than the LS (if I could, I'd go for the one with the Taz logo on the quarterpanel ). And SS sounds better than Z34 (again, reference to Lumina).- Mustang GT, I will killed by all sides of the family if I get a Mustang much less a GT, can't compare to a Z28 or an SS, but I like how it looks... geez. - Impala SS, I loved it when I first saw it, but try finding one with low mileage now. ![]() - Grand Prix GT, I liked it since it first came out though I hate their commercials, not only because of the bad acting but the fact they distort the car my stretching it. I worry about parking that thing at the market. Otherwise I've driven it, and it might likely be the car I get. And the GTP's out of my price range. We'll see. - The Accord and Celica are last resorts, only because they have good resale value and tend to last. I just don't like them resold piece by piece, if you know what I mean ![]() Where's ExtremeCriticiser when you need him? But he's not in North America. Damn.

A good alternative to the Grand Prix is the new Bonneville... Sweetness.
Mean looks. Lots of space. Horsepower. I think that they have HUDs like the Grand Prix, also.

I love that Bonneville! I have the Pontiac brochure (and an Audi bag full of car brochures) from the auto show. If I'm not mistaken, it's over $23K me thinks, hence why I didn't consider it. If I did go for the Bonnevile, I'd go for the SSEi (it's got the HUD). Add 240-hp V6, supercharged... Bose system... leather... mmm.
Now if given $35,000... Lexus IS300...

It is... they brought it over and slapped the Lexus name on it (Toyota and Lexus are really the same company after all). Great handling car, but out of my range and too many darn rich kids drive these around along with their BMW 3-series. And their girls. Drives me insane.
