It does the heart good to know the masses like it. Good work to all of those who joined in the effort.
And in the fun things to do with your skin category: I considered announcing a variation of the classic "Count the Llamas" game, but decided I couldn't ask any one to go through that tedious grind. (I do have an official count, ofcourse, because I would do that for you.) Instead, here's a new challenge: Lying along the top of the vis area/song scroll, there are 18 eggs. One egg for each skinner involved in the project. Number the eggs 1 through 18 from left to right. Now, any one care to draw a line connecting each egg to the matching skinner?

Very good indeed!!
The EQ is awsome, but my favourite part is the ShufRep-buttons. They kept me for several munutes just clicking away ! Lots of nice details. Hope I can join in to one of the future collaborated skins! |

Yes, Keetah, they're personalized for each specifc skinner. Look at Egg #6, which is indeed Duk's, and compare it to the EQ. See the direction we're going? Got a little bit of some one in each of the top 18 eggs. Aren't you all lucky? ![]() |

Ahhhh, the face of egg number thirteen is reminiscent of an egg I'm certain I've seen elsewhere - perhaps I saw it long ago, during the passionate days of my mispent youth, lying on its back in the cool spring grass as we.... um err, scuse me...
Numero 13! Always my luck number. ![]() Skin looks great guys and gal , I am truly impressed with how much the main has improved. If you turn on the easter egg, it makes for a cartload of eggs! ![]() ( Now who's gonna be bad and make like a rabbit?)HAPPY EASTER PEEPS! ...a blatant person. |

I am duly impressed with the result, and abashed with my contribution after seeing all of the others. I'm newer to this, and am still learning all the little tricks of the graphics (I've had PSP7 for about 4 months now, had never worked with a graphics program before that). How in the world do you guys (and gals) manage to make the very small graphics look so smooth and clear?? The grass on my AVS looks more like a grass stain, and the eggs tumbling down the sides would have all been dumped down Wonka's 'bad' shoot with Veruca Salt. I gotta get schooled, I'm draggin' ya'll down.
But... I enjoyed the collaboration, would certainly enjoy another worthy project some time, and appreciate being included. Thanks! |

Hey DigitalDragon, your stuff look great man, think where the problem comes in is the way AVS stretches and pulls things around, always without fail makes whatever you draw there look a little blurred and skewed.
So not your fault man, just a quirk with Winamp, other than that top work ![]() Back to the day job

That's really quite good. I'm not at all into Easter, otherwise I might have volunteered, but the end result is full of the daring and whimsy I expect from you guys.
A bug though. On my NT machine here at work, the cursors have a serious transparency problem. My Microangelo 2.1 can't even open them, as it says they're not valid ICO file. Of course, they're not ICO files, but CUR files. I fiddled a bit by changing their file extensions to ICO (didn't help) and ANI. Microangelo Animator seemed to think that they were animated cursors when I used ANI, but it said that they were more than 256 colors, which version 2.1 apparently can't support. That would also explain the large files size on the cursors. |

Within the flood of responses I've received on the sheer beauty of Easter Eggstacy, a significant percentage have commented on AVS presets.
"Capt Jones," they say, "where can we get that ultra-cool preset that's in the screen cap?" The answer, true believers, is easy: It's in the Easter Eggstacy AVS Preset Pack. Download it and see the AVS do things it's builders never envisioned. Despite my inherently obvious skills as a manager of skin artists, some cyber surfers have also asked, "Capt Jones, beyond your thunderstruck-imposing skin collaboration skills, what have you brought to this project?" As if the sheer brilliance of the final product isn't enough to satisfy, I respond by leaving you a gift to demonstrate the Capt Jones not only teaches, but creates as well. To all the designers who labored on Easter Eggstacy, and the skinners who rooted for us, and the skin users who give our work meaning, I present Easter Eggstacy Speakers. Use them, don't abuse them. And now it's time to say goodbye. Yes, loyal troops, my work here is done and Capt Jones is archiving this project. It's been a thrill-packed ride and thanks for boosting me above junior member status. Until a vacuum in the skinning world sucks me back, this is Capt Jones signing off. Always remember: clean entertainment. Over and out. ![]() [Edited by Jayn on 03-22-2001 at 03:07 PM] |

Capt Jones has left town, saying something about a well-deserved rest at http://www.crazyhorse.com.
And he left me with a little list of loose ends to tie up. So, first thing: The cursors have been properly whipped into shape. Easter Eggstacy has been updated as of 2:45 PM Eastern Standard Time (which is 19:45 GMT). Please download from the same old link and refresh your hard drive. Spoonman; I don't have an NT machine (Win 2K is the closest I can get) to test them on, but I think you'll find them repaired. Please let me know. Second order of business: flatmatt has received in the e-post his prize for correctly naming all of the 18 designer eggs. Capt Jones wanted me to post this tease of flatmatt's limited-edition trophy: ![]() The Captain says, and I quote: "Tell them to stop their whining and try harder next time. To the quick bunny goes the gold." I am now done doing his dirty work. ![]() Lunatic fringe, we know you're out there. |

Ha! I have the Easter Eggstacy Gold Edition and you don't!
(I still have as yet to figure out if anything is different besides the readme.) Thanks Capt Jones! Now, what do you think it means by "And the total is: 213?" That's the next puzzle. |
