SKINS?

Does anyone know how to make a skin I have no idea??

To make a skin, you need a graphics program of some type, MS Paint will work,
but you can also download free trial versions of Paint Shop Pro
and Photoshop. There's also a free program called Gimp.

If you are going to skin the cursors, you'll need a cursor editor MicroAngelo is a good one.

You also need a zipping program such as Winzip.

Then go to:
The Developer Tab here at Winamp
or
WSD Skins
or
Skin Master
All three places have excellent tutorials to learn how to make skins

Also you will need to download the base skin into your C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins folder.

Skins skins skins la la la... but seriously, making them is a real pain - I prefer leaving the art to the artists and to use their work. Hey, that's why they did it, is it not?

well if u leave skinning to the skinners u wont ever get your own feel on ur winamp,

and a lot of us didnt make skins with the sole purpose for other people to use the skins, we do submit our work so that people can get them, but the main purpose of skinning is so that we can please ourselevs

It's definitely a delightful bonus to learn that someone else actually uses a skin of our creation tho.

he he! i agree there! i still find it quite hard to belive that people that i have never ever spoke to in my life have downloaded a skin of mine with the intention to use it!!

just think bout this! if u moved and found out that the guy next door was using yer winamp skin!!

Unfortunately, following that line of logic, keetah, my hot neighbor babe would likely be not be of the correct sexual orientation for me given the flavor of most of my skins.
