How do I create a skin? I've heard about photoshop and this free gimp thing but I haven't been able to get my hands on them anywhere.
And what about loading skins outside of winamp? I've downloaded various skins from different places outside of Winamp.com but because it is automatic I don't know how to do it manually |

Look at these sites for help making skins -
http://www.winamp.com/nsdn/winamp2x/dev/skins/ http://wsdskins.cjb.net/ To view a downloaded skin you must make sure your skin file is in your skin directory. This is usually c:\program files\winamp\skins. Copy your .wsz or .zip skin file there and start Winamp. Press ALT + S to bring up the skin browser. There should be a list of skins available on the right. Select one and Winamp should update and load the skin. From here you can also change your skin directory. |

Maybe...
Or,
On Winamp short cut right click >> properties >> click Short cut tab , see "Target" (The path to your winamp will show) Usually inside Winamp folder have 2 folder, skin and plug in. Put in skin folder. Or you can copy the skin, and rename thefile extension from wsz to zip. |
