I added my station to that livejointz.com and it seems to be a good site but is it easy to have that url for the station like http://mirrorman.nl:8000/listen.pls because ive been trying to figure how to do that for mine but I have no idea, would someone be able to explain it? thanx

My bet is...if you got rid of the ridiculously obnoxious sig, your listener average would jump by 20 :\

Well it is a little obnoxious but hey to each it's own. Your best form of advertising is always word of mouth. Start telling people about your station. Join a message board or two that talks about the kind of music you play. There's a couple more suggestions for you. Anymore and I'll have to charge you. Just kidding.

I don't know if anyone of you people ever owned a Commodore 64 but in that case you'll know what a Power Cartridge is:

In responce to the guy in this topic who was looking for a way to set your url in a stream, that's real easy: Get a provider (some free providers do this too) to forward a subdomain (in my case its just *blank*mirrorman.nl, but I guess I also could have done stream.mirrorman.nl) to your direct IP your streaming from.

So when your stream is something like 215.blabla.255 or something, just forward (for example) frank.com to that number. If it would be hosted by some free service it could be: frank.freeservice.com and of course the stream then becomes frank.freeservice.com:8000/etc....

It's quite easy actually....

You can also do it with your own domain, but youd have to ask your provider (if you own your own domain) to do that.
