HI,

I just downloded and installed the newest version, and now MP3s won't play (no sound). In addition to that, the seeking bar go by really fast. Like the song is playing at mach speed or something, but I still can't hear it.

I am using Windows 2000, and the DFX plugin.

The previous version worked just fine, so I don't understand what the problem could be.

Please help!!!

Going through music withdrawl....

What DFX plug-in are you referring to? Maybe that plug-in is causing the problem. Try disabling the plug-in. Also what soundcard are you using?

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

For those having trouble with Winamp 2.74 and DFX, especially users of old DFX versions(2/3/4), please download the latest version of DFX5 here.

It sounds more to me like he's using the DiskWriter plugin.

If so:
Prefs -> Output : select WaveOut -or- DirectSound.

Tho it could well be that your DFX plugin needs updating? Lord knows!
