"Known" bug in Skin screenshot generator

Well, my first skin has been quite a learning experience! By trolling thru the forums I eventually found answers to most of the oddities I found in the Skin system -- things not mentioned in the walkthrough (mmenu.cur, readme.txt, overlapping bitmap regions, buttons that don't "depress", etc, etc). [I'm building a little list for my website...]
Then I submitted my skin and found the screenshot was entirely black. Aargh! Quickly re-submitted it with 256-colour bmps instead of 16-bit.
It's now been published and I get to see a full-sized screen-shot of it. I note the vol and bal sliders or thumbs are out-by-one pixel. I also note that the PL background is NOT the colour I asked for, and not the colour I see when I use the skin for real.
So (here comes my questions):-
*Is there a list of known problems with the screen-shot generator?
*Is there a central listing of all the Skin gotcha's? Earlier I read someone's readme.txt apologizing for the windowshade button sometimes being offset, "I can't seem to fix it". Well no you can't. It's a KNOWN BUG. Known by whom?

I dont think its a bug, i just think the screenshots really really suck.

Dont worry, a few pixels shouldnt make that much of a difference.

Yes.....this is one of them..."the vol and bal sliders or thumbs are out-by-one pixel"
If your screenshot is black or missing a component, let us know here, so we can contact Admin about it.

*Is there a central listing of all the Skin gotcha's?

Not that I know of....maybe you would be so kind as to start one for us

Out-by-one happens to stand out on my Skin because it's very stark an minimalist ("SparseMatrix"). The most frustrating thing is that the screenshot shows the playlist as having solid black background (not the way it looks in real life) so I'm wondering if there's some weird file I'm missing (like the whole numbers.bmp/nums_ex.bmp thing). I've looked at other skins that look OK in the screenshots and I can't see what I'm missing.

I'm working on a list of gotchas (things omitted from the NSDN "make your own skin" area). I'll post 'em here and on my site...

my skin (wickedamp) appears to have the volume and balance up one pixel, but the 'mono' image is missing and there is only black space where it should be. The text in the playlist window isn't even shown where, it too, is blank. The colors are also distorted for the most part, being either brighter, darker or even having a hint of the wrong color, while the whole thing has a fuzzy look to it. The screenshot generator needs some work.
