I'm having a great deal of trouble hosting the shoutcast. AFter @ 2megs sent, the entire computer begins to slow dramatically, and when I disconnect from the server (which is on my computer), it comes back to the originial speed. However, I check on the RAM available, and it still has about 40% available (its 192 megs of RAM). My bandwidth isn't what is slowing it... (I'm sitting on the backbone of an OC-3 of a university).
I've tried everything, and once they hit 1.75 megs, it all goes downhill from there Any ideas? |

Go to Add/Remove Programs in the control panel and look for a program called WebHancer. If you have it uninstall it, if not post back here and we'll see what else we can do.

SpyWare
Try shutting down any and all background processes, also check for anything unusual running, especially if it has Agent in the exe file name.
It is probably some really horribly written spyware that has attached itself to your Windows Socket. Happened to me with that webhancer crap. -Jay | Radio Toolbox.com |
