Wazzup? I am a newbie to this whole forum thing and I would like to ask a skin related question. Is it possible for the posbar "button" to go behind a part of the image? EX: I want it to go behind a person in the image, not over him/her.

But there are tricks to slim and trim the posbar bmp to make it less noticable This is done by cutting the posbar.bmp by pixelsize. It is even posible to cut the buttons off this bmp. I believe all that I have said is correct. The pusher |

Eq bars are the single biggest nightmare on winamp, totaly destroying many a picture skin, and a few more besides, just have to be that bit creative with them, or you could do what I do, rip them off totaly , only way to be sure ..Back to the day job ![]() |

You know, one could apply the World Recognized Mr Jones EQ trick on the posbar, too.
Paint the posbar into posbar.bmp, going behind the foreground image, but trim off the far right pixels which are the buttons. Then use a distinctive cursor shape for posbar.cur to let the user know when they're on the control... Not ideal, but one around. Lunatic fringe, we know you're out there. |

EQ-sliders..
I've found a "way around" the slider-problem. Or on second thought, no, I haven't.
But, If we were able to post EQ-presets together with the skin, we could have made a preset to "fit" that skin. [disclaimer] I've just gotten up from bed, so if this post look like pure nonsense, it's my bad. [/disclaimer] |

But changing the eq preset would muck up people's sound who use the eq.
And remember Winamp is an audio player. Mucking up the function for the sake of beauty......not done |

just make the posbar the same as the background it overlaps... then your sliders will be over the part of the picture for a short time
i wish that the Eq sliders were at the top of the bitmap... then we could just hack off the bars leaving the sliders I WISH I WISH I WISH Artist Track |

If you cut off the sliders/eq-bars you won't have ANY sliders there any more
Is that really better? ![]() Quote:

But then it wouldn't be on and my music would sound worse.

But then the skin suddenly looks ugly as soon as someone wants more base or less treble, so it's not a really bright idea. |

Posbar
I don't believe it's possible to send the posbar behind an image, at least not in Winamp2x. Wait for Wa3, and we'll not only be able to send the posbar behind a graphic, we could make the posbar curve, or rotate, or... well, just imagine!
