You all have to go download Ryan Geiss's new plugin called Milkdrop. I fired it up in WA3 (i dont even use winamp 2.x anymore, the new alpha is so sweet), and it blew my mind. Awesome frame rates at 1024X 768 in 32bit color! Its just incredible. This is what AVS should have been like all along. I cant wait to see what he does with it!

I agree. I've been a fan of Geiss for a while now but with Milkdrop the man has excelled himself. It's amazing. And very fast... I can't see myself using another fullscreen plugin until his next effort

Has anyone tried the 3d-stereo visual output in MilkDrop? You need to have those red and blue glasses for it to work, but if it does, that would make this plugin just sooo much better. Hmmm...I wonder where I could get a pair. I haven't even seen one of those things in years.

I tend to believe that if a vis can give me more than 30 fps at 1600x1200 with 32 bit color and stunning 3d visuals, then clearly I'm not expecting enough out of my computer.

I love Milkdrop's Desktop Mode. Very cool... can't wait to see what the future holds for stuff like this. Anybody tried this on a Geforce3 to see how it runs? With a Geforce2 Ultra here I still hafta put it at quarter mode for it to flow smoothly on my machine (1600*1200). Or maybe it is optimisable somehow?

Yup I've run it on my GF3 and... WOWOWOW the speed is absolutely amazing!! My monitor only supports upto 1024*768 (got to upgrade cause my cards going to waste.) But at this res with 32 bit colour, it's mind-blowing. After watching for a while, I looked at the floor, and the floor was slighlty shifting and bending! LOL and I was sober ;0)
