Ok, this is really weird.

Milkdrop worked fine when I installed it.

The only thing that's changed in my system is I installed the Win2k Service Pack 2.

Now when I click on the Configure button in WinAMP, MY SYSTEM REBOOTS.

This is EXTREMELY weird.

hmmm, try reinstalling DX8 (after sp2)... maybe that will fix it. This is the first I've heard of such a problem, so it seems like it's probably your system at fault (as opposed to a bug).

Any luck?

Win2K SP2 replaces many core windows components, overwriting many registry keys in the process.
As well as reinstalling DirectX 8.0a, you might also find that you'll need to reinstall all other apps you're experiencing problems with, including Winamp
