I have Shoutcast server running and installed the usual DSP-plugin for winamp. Streaming works fine.

When I talk into the mic I can hear myself talking with a delay of about 1 min.

It is possible to have voice streamed to winamp users with no delay (or a delay in the milisec range)?

As a winamp user connecting to a station, I would like to hear what the DJ is broadcasting AT THIS INSTANT. Not what the DJ said 1 minute ago.

I do not want winamp to start streaming from the point where the server started transmitting. Instead winamp should start streaming from what it receives THIS INSTANT. I want to hear realtime audio from the DJ.

If a small delay is possible, this winamp/shoutcast setup can be used as an internet telephone, if server/winamp is installed in both ends of the line.

I have a T1 cable, and regular internet-telephony does not seem to work properly with cable internet.

Any suggestions?
