There are several sound cards that have multiple outputs eg. Videologic SonicFury (6 output), and the Sound Blaster Live cards have between 4 - 6 output.

Anyway, I noticed there was a plugin that simulates having multiple speakers, called "SoftAmp VirtualSound", which seems to be really popular, and I though it would be really good to have an output pluging like that, which would send music to the 6 channels, and at the same time adding per channel effects eg reverb and chorus as well as having individual EQ's for each channel. This would be similar to the "SoftAmp VirtualSound" plugin except it would be using the full 6 channels instead of simulating 6 speaker by using 2 speakers.

The separate EQs would be really helpful because you'd be able to send bass signals to speakers that are much better suited to bass and the full range of signals to speakers that are much better for handling a full range of frequencies.

What does anyone think of this idea, and will anyone program it? I would not know were to start programming a plugin like this and I do not have the knowledge.
