win amp freeze

I have down loaded Winamp 275 and can play songs stored in Win MX no worries and que songs no worries. However when I shout down and retart computer later on win amp accepts songs into playlist but wont play them. It just locks on 0.00. I can scoll forther along into the song but it does not play it at that point either. I have loaded and unloaded Winamp several times as each time i Shut dowm I have this problem.
Can you help me

further to my problem I have come up with following error message

Internet cannot open the internet site HTTP/www winaamp.com/browse/index/HTML?mondo rock & stateof the heart & version 2.75 Geanre=8 ambums + fvh=1.mondo rock state of the heartThe server returned an invalid or Unrecognised respose

Further it does the same with Mp3 other than those from Win MX

First of all . . . what is Win MX exactly?

Secondly, the url you typed in your 2nd post is totally mis-typed.
http/ = http://
winaamp.com = winamp.com
Geanre = genre
ambums = albums
etc etc etc

If that IS the proper url, then I'm not surprised that your browser can't open it!

Things like this certainly don't help us to help you.

Anyway, I suggest that you try closing the minibrowser!

Thirdly, I don't understand what you mean by Winamp doesn't work after you shutdown.
Does it somehow mysteriously work at some later point, or does it not work at all?

What files are you trying to play?
eg. MP3's stored on your HDD, or streams over the internet?

Have you installed any extra 3rd party plugins for Winamp?
Maybe some sys specs might come in handy too?

WinMX is a mp3 seach engine like napster. This is not the problem cause I have the same problem with playing any mp3.
When I download winamp it loads correctly and I can play mp3s and load same into the play list and all is OK.
Then I shut down windows (Computer) and then restart at a later time I can save songs to the play list and they appear with name ect but play will not play. it just seems to freeze. I then have to wipe winamp, shutdown computer, restart, and down load winamp again. But when I shut down windows (Computer) the same thing happens again.
Help please? I am downloading winamp 276. My computer has a AMD 750 chip 128 ram.ATX power suply

oh and the "cannot find" thing could be fixed, or maybe you guys can all try -

to to menu->options->prefs->setup->select "no internet connection available
