i first discovered this bug in v2.73, and i was hoping it would be fixed in 2.76, but alas, it is not. this is something that was not present in the 2.6 version i used to use...

when playback is paused, with local files as well as with internet streams, the player seems unable to recover its sense of time, and every third or fourth second is shortened, making for a rather botched song. for example, if a song is supposed to be "la la la la" it will play, after being paused, as "la la l-la la...". the program does the same with streams too, which is harder to correct. repausing, i have found, will not fix it, but if you re-seek to a position in the file using the seeking bar, it plays fine again.

another (probably) unrelated issue i have with this version (as well as 2.73) is that when the processor is busy, or ctrl-alt-del is pressed, instead of just stopping playback, it does a repeat of the last second or two like a broken record. i would rather have silence than repetition...

i am using a PIII 500, with 128MB RAM, running Win98.
