MMsystem004 error

Hello,

I love Winamp. I have been using it for at least the past 5 years. I have had no problems with it until today. I started up my machine (Windows 98, P175) and it gave me the following error:

"MMsystem004: The specified device is already in use. Wait until it is free, and then try again."

I had just clicked it to listen to some songs, which worked perfectly the previous week, and this was the error I got. I downloaded the 2.76 version, but the same thing is occurring. I tried changing to the Direct output but that did not work. I changed back, the song plays for 2 seconds and ends. Now the above error is back.

Please help me.
