since I have thise sort of disease where I created two skins that got a little over a thousand downloads so far, and only that, and I had a case of skinners block in which I created about 10 skins never getting the look I wanted, I took a new approach to skinng for winamp 2x, and I just want to see if it works. Tell me what you think, say the colors are nice say they are ugly, say its been done, say its original, say this kinner sucks, say i like this skinner. Say what you honestly believe, I'm sick of people saying nice things about skins that suck, I don't want to waste my time finishing this one if its no good, I have other things I could be doing so be honest.

Thats the main window of it so far, I didn't show u it in action as some components are not skinned as of now.

Here is what is:

posbar-
main window-
numers and text.bmps (text font letters or whatever its called.)

So say what you honestly think, and if your afraid to, direct a friend here who can.

yea...I said it.

not bad...

but, its kinda hard to coneptualize what is not there...I mean base wise its a good start. I'd be interested to see the additional components inserted. However, your ability to move forward in the cases I've seen so far leave somewhat to be desired in the skin creation...(Only an observation) Anyways, I don't think I can give a fair opinion until you get more done other than to say the base is a good start.

just leanred transparency, got some of that on the equalizer window, I'll post another screenshot when I get done with the eq buttons this is what I have done in addition to last time:

Viscolor.txt
Region.txt
and the main part of eqmain, (the actual window)
Also I dug up the original cursors from my second skin changed the colors and it fit right in so I'm done with that.

i think you could make it look alot better if you changed the colors a little. the color of the frame is ok but that light yellow one i don't like. why don't you round it out a little. would improve it. otherwise a good start, keep working on it and put up a new pic.

OK

So far so good. The colors are very relaxing. No pain to the eyes I mean. Now finish it. Let's see where it goes....
The Yellow face seems like it wants to be something like a pastic covring on a stereo faceplate but it doesn't have quit the rise on all the corners. I suggest making the top of the yellow face in the Main look like the bottom to give it more of a rise. The difference in the top and bottom of that frame makes it look distorted.

Did you just copy and paste the shading of the yellow edges for the EQ? Because the internal corners are missing a bit of shading. Easily corrected. Just draw it in manually.

hmmm

first i wanna get the thing done, this is like my 11th unfinished skin I have sitting around and it may just fall like the rest. So I will probably get done with eq and main completely, submit it to deviant art see what they think, then finish it send it to deviant, 1001, TU, and here and see if I get some downloads, then I will change the borders and probably go over the cbuttons. I probably will not do it in this version because this skin may only get one or two downloads in the end and i don't wanna waste time.

yea...I said it.

eh lucid

actually what happened was i drew it as two different frams and took out the parts that interesected, since i did that Ihave to manually go in and fix/connect the shadows which are messed up even more since i had to change the height on one of the frames.

yea...I said it.

Lose the "Bojanglez" text below the graphical analyzer, or at least change the font.

Yea. Make it easier to read. Or put it somewhere else (eg. in the visualiser so you see it when you're not playing anything.)
