Ok im gonna explain the whole think so you guys will have a better chance of awnsering me.

Me and my friend have a server running off of his home network (ex. hes got 1 main computer getting the internet, and 2 others running off of it). We have the shoutcast server on the MAIN computer. Through winamp we can connect perfectly.. sounds good, no skipping, no lag for him, ect ect.

Now heres the problem:

When were try to connect thru the DSP DJ tool for shoutcast... it just times out ussally... we have the right IP, the right port, and the right password

=/ Anyone know whats up?

I set my ip ins the DSP to 127.0.0.1 and the password to the same ones I used in the SHOUTcast server config.

If you are using a router, you might have to turn port forwarding on. (SHOUTcast needs ports 8000 and 8001)

http://www.portforward.com

This site gives you step by step instructions if you are using a router.

I hope this helps you with your problem.
