Hey All!!

I need help...

I'm on a 2-computer home network here, we both go through a router to connect to the internet via a DSL modem. In the SHOUTcast server settings window I use localhost as the IP and port 8000 but i get no connection?!?
Am I doing something wrong? Both my roommate ans I have no problems playing a game online or using peer-to-peer services... so why would SHOUTcast give me a problem?

Isn't this how it works:

I let the PlugIn know that my comp. is the server by typing "localhost" and using port 8000... it then sends that info out to shoutcast.com where their server lists my IP address for listeners to connect to.... right? So why does it say "Error connecting to host" ?

Thanks!

also...

I've also tried a few other things...

I enabled forwarding so that any requests to the router's IP
go to my PC on the network... I've also tried just using my comp's IP and just the router's IP but still get the same "Error Connectign to Host" thing. Is the Shoutcast software messed up?
