Dirctory context menus - no sort on load

The directory context menu commands for adding files don't reliably sort themselves in a playlist. Drag-and-drop file adding exhibits the same behavior.

I've set 'sort files on load', I've set 'read titles on load', I've changed ID3 title formatting, and I've put track numbers in filenames and in ID3 tags. I've seen this happen on both Win2k and 9x machines.

Can this get fixed? The context menu commands are really convenient, but having to manually re-sort the playlists seems like a hassle, what with the auto-sort options available in winamp preferences.
