Null output? line in/mic ? (2 questions)

First off, I tested this with my friend, but does the volume I (the caster) have my winamp set at affect the volume listeners hear it at? cause I had my winamp volume set to zero and he could still hear the stream.

But then why do they include the nulloutput plugin (which doesn't even work for me anyway)?


More importantly (to me) What do I need to use my mic with my stream? I can't find a plugin to work it. I found one but it didn't work. I need a plugin that uses any input source, cause I need to use the line-in 2 port not the regular line-in port (my comp has 2)

Can anyone direct me to a plugin or something thatlet's me use the mic in that port?
