Newbie! How do I configure my shout cast on a home lan !?!?!??

I am running a home lan network on a cable modem

2 computers

1st is my server which has win 2k pro (166 mhz)

2nd is my client which has win 98 se (800 mhz)

I share files between them both on a 4 port hub netgear.
I am able to share files between them both easily.

I am also share the internet between them both using a program
called sygate. My 1st acts as a server and my 2nd is a client.
The internet flows through the first and the 2nd.

I am using winamp and shout cast on the 2nd comp I can broadcast and it shows everything working fine and I am sending data, and I get NO errors connecting.

But my friends cant hear my music I am broadcasting.

my servers ip addy for the network is
192.168.0.1

my client is
192.168.0.2

what am I doing wrong???
HELP HELP

What is the port you assigned in the SHOUTcast server??? Tell your friends to add the port number to the IP address like this:

http://192.168.0.1ortnumber/

The standard port number is 8000 . This is changed in the server configuration.

Try that,

My Question!

if I use that port #?

wont they be accessing anyone's ip addy cuz lots of people use
192.168.0.1 as a ip addy on a home lan!

These friends are on the internet!?

Are You Sure?!

As long as it is configured in the server. Use the server IP, or use http://www.whatismyipaddress.com . And add the port, that is necessary.
