But then I know the feeling. And if I start feeling lost and/or unappreciated in these forums, I just go and try to make an awesome skin, post it, and reap in those feedbacks.
One of the main reasons I try to review every skin I see that I like for any reason. (Jax already heard from me on the Alicia Keys skin <----still has no clue who she is).

Not saying I don't agree with you here BG, just saying that in Jax's case, I'm more than happy to accept it. Say goodbye again Jax and you'll get another speech from me about maturity and running away like you did the last time. Also adding how I respect your decision no matter what it is. And like I told Chev, whom I would not miss as much as Jax, if you want to come back we'll be here.

a) I don't think he ever intended to leave.
b) I think he only wanted to see who would say goodbye and who would beg him to stay.
c) If I had decided to leave, it would likely be because I didn't like the majority of people in here, in which case, upon my leaving, my annoucement would enumerate who I did not like and why, and which would probably preclude my sticking around even if I wanted to.
d) You forget, or maybe you weren't here. We've done this exact same shit (well, not this shit) before with Joe here.

That's funny, I don't see much nagging going on back there, mearly disccusions on how things should be done on the review front, really Lynx, you should be aware of all sides of the arguements before you start quoting on things you don't know about.

like I said in another thread, backstage has so many problems because too many mods are forgetting they have a job to do and getting way too buddy buddy with forum members, causing people to be singled out and feelings to be hurt.

I think its fine to be a friend to someone. But even I can see that there are mods abusing their power.

Mr J NOT being one of them. He has always, in my experience, been more helpful than anything else. Even if I don't always agree with his opinions.

I don't want Mr J to go.
I would, however, like to see a few other people go. And you'd probably not agree with my list. I'm not getting into it entirely because I really don't know whats going on behind the scenes. It just seems to me that some of the mods would rather hang out backstage and only show up as a "member" in the forums when they want to show off their status.

As for your anecdote? The parent is the most offensive.

Number 1) you have no idea what goes on backstage heh, again comments on half a storty

Not about contribution?, hmmm, well if non of us ever contributed, then no one would ever get picked to be a mod, you get picked for your communication skills, not for the ammount of posts you can make.

Now lets go back to that invisable mod who manipulates the forums without contributing, well if I'd taken that line when asked to take on the role, I can quite safely say that things would be differnt now, I mean, lets see, which mod "contributed" opinons on who would make up the skin review panel, Oh how I wish I hadn't contributed to that thread.

Why is no one making a big song and dance about those absent names?, some of them quietly faded away, some have made very public and emotional exits from the forums, and yet I don't see any big cries out for them?

Actually, I think this was a bad idea. For starters, there are references in my posts that refer to both of the issues. Read above, they don't quite seem to fit in this thread.

This "opinion" that the threads were to be seperated, in my opinion, wasn't the best idea.

Why did I post under GaretJax...well to be honest, because something bad happened here and I wanted to make sure that my friends were ok. Sorry, but that is my own personal thought and need. As far whether or not I really left...Mainly, I wanted to make it known I was leaving the Skin Review and Skin Love arena for the most part. When I divulged my alias over in gen disc I felt I should be courteous enough to just come out and say it. Otherwise, someone would of posted in here somewhere something about it anyways and we'd have a different story than me just coming in to tell who I was.

My primary goal was in the Gen Dis area and where I planned on posting most of the time. As I said "I would show up from time to time." But, I would no longer review skins...and I have and will keep that word. I have no need to involve myself in that process because, of what I feel it does. To me I feel that it may make individuals feel as though they are better than those around them, I did not and do not want to be apart of that. But, again as stated in my original goodbyes it was my own reason and no one individuals fault. You wanted to know you've got my answer...but, it won't change your belief that you think I'm grandstanding or whatever the hell you said.

Mr Jones - Although, you seem to know or at least try to make some assumptions about me...I'd rather you didn't. I understand that you my have issues with me as evidenced by your lack of posting with or to me via other means. And that is that, however making light of a truly tragic event and then using that in defense of your argument to further the notion of BullGawd's is not only rude but highly disturbing to me. I responded to a bad situation trying to find out that if anyone I knew was hurt by it. For gods sake I lost my whole contract team. 6 Men and 2 Women for which I have worked and gotten to know over the period of 4 Years. Needless to say, I have very strong feelings for those that are associated to the event that had occurred and wanted make sure that people here were indeed ok.

BullGawd - If you perceive me as grandstanding then so be it. (big whoop if and when i do leave you tell me to fuck off. Its your choice to respond to anyone anyway you want, but before you do make a mental note that this was not the intention).

I don't hate Garrett. I don't particularly want him to leave. And of all the things I've ever wanted him to do, quitting the review panel is not one of them - his reviews are where I agree with him the most. But whatever, as I've said to him before, a guy's going to do what he wants.

Garrett, why you would leave SL for GD is beyond me. (Though the distance is growing ever shorter every day.) I'd take intelligent enemies over neutral dipshits any day, and as your goodbyes have proven over and over again, everybody loves you here.

That is exactly it BullGawd...exactly. I thought my own attitude was beginning to become a we vs them type and I started to think that I was better than your average everyday person...and that I did not want as it would reflect in my reviews of others. I am about impartial judgement etc of someones work and if I cannot reflectively look upon an author with fair judgement and perception I'm no good to the them. This is why I decided to leave the Review Team. As for the the Skin Love Forum, I needed to take a break from my normal meanderings here so I did. However, the name GaretJax still allowed me to access the Skin Review Backstage area...and I no longer wanted to see it. So, creating a new name was indeed a wonderfull suggestion made by a few as it accomplished a couple of things at one stroke. Trust me, I did not intend on responding so quickly but, as things progressed over in the other thread I suppose i wanted to prove my point even though it would open the door again. As such I thought it equally important to say that I was here myself rather than someone else doing it for me. (things tend to be blown out of proportion in those cases.)

Cos I suck at skinning, I have Paint, and still learning to use Photoshop,to prove that I'll attach a file of my best work so far (a remix of a sample file )so that you can see what I can do .
