Skinners: Winamp3 Default Skin Changes...

Just wanted to all give you a heads up, Winamp3's default skin will be experiencing a bunch of changes. If any of your skins are dependent on Winamp3's base skin, there might be a chance that some of your skins will break. Please attempt to go through and remove any dependencies that you might have on our default skin. If you can't avoid it, then we hope that you can fix it quickly once our changes are complete. I will post a notice of what changes will occur once i tally them all up.

Thanks for all the love boys and girls...

what about the sysfunc.maki file? Can we still link to the script in the default skin from our skin?

scripts will not be affected. just images that you have linked to through the player.

Steve -

You're just cleaning up all the unused bitmaps and stuff in the skin, right? Streamlining everything and making it logical for the beta release?

That's the plan. We'll probably do it between beta 1 and beta 2, when we get to them.

It'll be a pain but better to do it now and get it over with. Our current naming scheme in the default skin sucks 'cause it evolved slowly over the last 2 years. This will be a one-time thing. Plus the unused bitmaps will go away too.

so what were the big changes in the default skin? I like picking stuff apart, but is there anything else we could know that would help us that we can't get from the default skin?

e.g. What are the max values for the gamma presets.

It's still coming along, however, you can take a look at it here...

It might just be me, and watch it be only me, but I can't get the new BaseSkin to work.

[edit] nevermind, it works after I unzip it [/edit]
