Hey!! what an awesome concept!! I love it, definitely original, keep posting updates.

You might want to go with a gif format though, the jpg makes it real blurry

Looking forward to the finished product!

If anyone can find any of the skins I made please email them to Forevever@aol.com
I can't remember all the names but specifically hunting for Lascivious, and DEVOUR (compilation with Jax) and any in the Impulse series which had 6 total. Auriferous, Gilt, Impulse, Nadir, and 2 others I can't remember but you dig.

I never used one but I've watched enough little house on the prairie

if I could make a suggestions... perhaps you could alternate case for the text (ABcdEfG), and maybe even write a couple of them backwards, for that real elementary look

If anyone can find any of the skins I made please email them to Forevever@aol.com

Excellent theme, kc252! Being a big fan of "thing" skins, I'm all over this one.

Curious to see how you're going to animate the chalk pieces in the titlebar. Also wondering what this might look with a black (or very dark grey) chalkboard (color variations already! )

On the volume bar, you've got lots of room to be imaginative here; how about something crazy like the scribble in Doggy Dog's Extravagant amp.

Final note: the posbar eraser is upside down. That is, you're showing us the erasing felt side, which technically should be against the slate. Perhaps you made this decision for artistic reasons...

Please give a link when you've got a DL version!

what do you guys suggest for the eraser, cause i realized that it is upside down(thanks crappy 17), lol, so what kind of material do you suggest be the top of the eraser? Wood like the edges? i think i made it look like the felt because that was the only way i though people wiould recognize it. Any suggestion? Thanks

nice skin, very original, I like it alot

for the eraser...maybe you could have like the piece of paper that they glue on the back of some erasers that have the brand name or something like that on it and it could say "ERASER" hehe

Yeah, that's the tough part, what to put in it's place? Which is why maybe the felt side up is the best choice. Not exactly right, but everyone knows what it is...

Other than that, it'd have to be a label, like SuPey suggests. I've seen chammy cloth used as chalkboard erasers. You know, those soft tan leather squares? Might look odd against your current color shceme, though.

thats funny lynx cause i just started to do that and i got it to look kinda right, but the eraser will be square, it would be to small to recognize if i tried to make it look like a rectangle in that little square, tell me what you think, the gif is a pic of eq in development. I don't really know if i am going to keep the same border and such, but it is a slate and they are kinda uniform, its not a "designed skin" lol if you know what I mean, I am open to suggestions on what i could make the border or the eq sliders look like, but i think that sticking with the same border, maybe a with something different scratched in it like the heart on the main window, feedback! thanks

oh yeah, and for the animation of the chalk in the tray, right now they all just turn a little when you click them, you think that is adequate? or what? maybe they sould disappear like you picked it up, i don't know. and all the buttons are basically the picture of for example the control buttons are the arrows like you see in the picture and when you click on them a chalk line shows up under them, when not being clicked they have what looks like a chalk line that has been erased. Good? i really feel like i didn't put that much effort into them. more feedback... lol thanks

the top of the eraser should have skin, hair and blood stuck to it, cos in my school the eraser was the first thing that would get thrown at you if you messed about.

hhhmmm.....that's not such a good idea is it?

i'd try larger areas of wooden frame for the EQ.

Also you could try making the slate more used looking. Maybe with dusty/cloudy areas of chalk dust.

imo it looks a bit too clean at the moment.

It's not a rip if you didn't actually took that skin, slightly modified it, then blah blah, sorry for stopping in the middle of the sentence, got some work to do, and forgot what I wrote, but someone might get a point.
